Abbey Ragsdale Design Studio works with clients on residential projects ranging from furnishing and decorating individual spaces to extensive renovations and new construction.

Our work may include interior architecture and space planning, finish and fixture selections, custom millwork, furnishings, lighting, art and accessories, procurement, and installation. The scope of our involvement is tailored to the needs of each project, and we are best suited for clients looking for a thoughtful, cohesive approach rather than help with a single isolated selection.

What Happens Next

After reviewing your inquiry, we’ll reach out to schedule a brief introductory phone conversation. If the project appears to be a good fit for our studio, the next step is typically a Design Consultation, where we’ll learn more about your project and determine the appropriate scope of design services.

DESIGN CONSULATION

The first step in defining the project.

For prospective full-service projects, we begin with a Design Consultation. This working meeting allows Abbey to understand what you’re hoping to accomplish, discuss your priorities, timeline, and anticipated investment, and determine the appropriate scope of design services.

For renovations and existing homes, consultations are typically held at the residence so we can experience the spaces firsthand. For new construction or projects in the early planning stages, the initial consultation may instead take place at our studio or virtually, depending on the project and where you are in the process.

During our time together, we’ll discuss your goals, functional needs, aesthetic direction, and any challenges or opportunities relevant to the project. Abbey will offer initial observations and guidance while gathering the information needed to recommend a clear path forward.

Following the consultation, if the project is a good fit for our studio, we’ll prepare a tailored Design Services Proposal outlining the recommended scope of work, design services, and associated design fees and investment range.

The Design Consultation is intended for project discovery, assessment, and strategic planning. Detailed design development—including specific selections, drawings, sourcing, and space planning—takes place after engagement for Design Services.

Additional travel fees may apply for projects outside the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
